Big Ang was the heart of Mob Wives. She was the niece of Salvatore Lombardi, a caporegime and drug dealer in the Genovese crime family.

With her extravagant personality, love for parties, and sense of humour, Raiola dated gangsters and brought ease to an otherwise tense series. She also starred in two spin-offs, Miami Monkey and Big Ang, while running her Staten Island bar, The Drunken Monkey.

The reality TV star was known for avoiding most Mob Wives cast fights, preferring to mediate among her friends. Sadly, on 18 February 2016, at 55, Big Ang passed on from complications of stage four lung cancer and Pneumonia.
