The Ghanaian car manufacturer currently lists two electric vehicle models under its Electric & Hybrid category.
They are the Kantanka Mensah EV and the Kantanka Amoanimaa EV. Both models have become part of the growing conversation around Ghana’s move into electric mobility, especially at a time when fuel prices remain a major concern for drivers.
Price of the Kantanka Mensah EV
The Kantanka Mensah EV appears to be the more premium option among the two. Current market checks place the Mensah EV within an estimated range of GH₵275,000 to GH₵535,000, depending on the final specification, package and quotation from the company.
The car has attracted attention for its modern look and its position as one of Ghana’s locally made electric cars.

The Mensah EV has also become a talking point because of the wider pride attached to Kantanka’s work in the automobile space. For many Ghanaians, the car is not only about electric driving. It also represents local manufacturing, national identity and the dream of seeing Ghana compete in a market often dominated by foreign brands.
The Kantanka Amoanimaa EV is the second model listed under Kantanka’s electric and hybrid lineup. It has been linked to a more affordable price range of GH₵40,000 to GH₵50,000, making it the model many ordinary buyers may pay closer attention to.

At that price level, the Amoanimaa EV stands out as an interesting option for people who want a small electric car for city movement, short trips and everyday use.
However, buyers still need to note that Kantanka’s official website does not openly display fixed prices for both EV models.
The company directs interested customers to request a free quote. That means the final buying price may change depending on availability, configuration, battery details, registration, added features and the company’s current showroom quotation.
YEN.com.gh checks show that the interest in Kantanka EV cars is not only about price. Many buyers are also interested in how practical the cars will be on Ghanaian roads.
Questions about battery life, charging time, spare parts, servicing and warranty support are still important for anyone considering an electric car.
For now, the Mensah EV gives Kantanka a premium electric option, while the Amoanimaa EV gives the company a more affordable model that could appeal to budget-conscious buyers.
As Ghana’s EV market grows, Kantanka’s two electric cars may remain important examples of how local manufacturers are trying to join the clean transport shift.
