Controversial US-based Ghanaian online commentator and social media personality, Twene Jonas, has drawn attention following his recent encounter with the police on the street.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, Twene Jonas took to his official Facebook page for a live session to share his opinions on the trending news topics in Ghana and also speak about his experience living in the US.

The social commentator, wearing a casual outfit, appeared to be excited as he interacted with his followers.

Twene Jonas' moment of joy soon turned to fear when a police vehicle got closer to his parked car on the streets.

In a state of panic, the social media personality began screaming as he ran towards his vehicle, fearing arrest for parking on the side of the road.

He said:

"The police have approached my vehicle. They want me to prove it."

Twene later approached the police vehicle, where he spoke with an officer and informed him that he would move his vehicle to avoid any punishment.

Following his interaction with the police officer, the social media personality appeared relieved.

As he panted, Twene praised the police and continued with his Facebook Live session, where he slammed President John Dramani Mahama.

Twene Jonas slams Afua Asantewaa

Twene Jonas' latest public incident comes weeks after he slammed Afua Asantewaa over her marital issues with her husband, Kofi Owusu Aduonum.

He said:

"If you marry someone who has no money, do not compare him to someone who has married a rich man. Focus on working hard yourself and supporting him, so you both can succeed together instead of leaving him for someone with money."
