It is mandatory for all prospective student of KNUST to apply for enrollment before they commence their studies. Ideally, this is the first thing one should do before the invitation letter of offer comes before they are registered and be bona fide students of the institution. IDL KNUST admissions requirements

  • Holders of WASSCE / SSSCE who have scored credits of A1 to C6 and A to D respectively are eligible to apply for the IDL KNUST courses. The minimum aggregate score is 24 with English, Mathematics and Integrated Science having high scores.
  • HND holders with over three years working experience in their relevant fields can apply. However, the should also have met the WASSCE threshold above and good scores in the three elective subjects.
  • General Business Certificate (GBCE) holders with over a pass in the three subjects and yet other three elective subjects qualify to apply
  • Applicants in stage 1 of Chartered Institute of Bankers, Chartered Institute of Marketing, ICA, and ACCA with credits in the WASSCE / SSSCE in the three compulsory subject and three elective subjects as per the course they desire to be enrolled for.
  • The GBCE, ABCE or GCE O' level holders
  • Similarly, applicants who will have their examination results – those who sat for their May/June as at the time of application are equally eligible.
  • Applicant should be of mature age, at least 25 years and above at the time of application and meets the WASSCE/SSSCE benchmark of passes in the core subjects and three elective subjects and have the examination results as proof of this.
  • The foreign applicant from accredited and recognized institutions are also eligible to apply having met any of the above qualifications.
