It is a love affair brewed on a football pitch as Ghana internationals, David Accam and Florence Dadson tied the knot in a rather lowkey ceremony on Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Accra.
The pair, who are both based in the United States are regulars for Ghana's two senior teams, the male Black Stars and female Black Queens.
Surrounded by friends and family, the pair exchanged vows in what Ghanaians usually refer to as an engagement. Accam and Dadson are having a white wedding on Saturday, January 5.
Most of Ghana's top players have returned to their clubs after the break but a host of other people from the football fraternity are expected to grace the occasion.
David Accam, a foward, plays for Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer (MLS) and has also featured for the Black Stars nine times.
His first call-up to the Ghana national team for a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Sudan on 24 March 2013.
Florence Dadson is also an attacker and has represented Ghana at both U-17 and U-20 levels.
Dadson played for Ghana at the 2008 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Dadson left Ghana in September 2011 after she gained admission to the Robert Morris University in Illinois to study Business Administration.
