Actress and model Moesha Boduong has spoken out about her health battle, which has resulted in a hiatus from social media.

In the early parts of 2024, news took over social media that the curvy Ghanaian socialite had suffered a debilitating stroke.

Moesha speaks about stroke and paralysis

In an interview with Ghanaian blogger Nkonkonsa, Moesha explained she had been left paralysed and unable to walk for several months.

Giving thanks to God, she acknowledged that she was getting better despite still being unable to talk fully after suffering the stroke.

Opening up about her paralysis, the socialite said part of her body was still paralysed, with one of her legs and hands not functioning fully.

"I cannot type on the phone now; I can only speak on the phone,” Moesha said in the phone interview with Nkonkonsa.

Despite her critical condition, Moesha remained hopeful that God would heal her fully and would return to her old self in the future.

Moesha's sickness and fundraising efforts

After news of Moesha's condition broke, her brother Ebito Boduong set up a GoFundMe account on January 22, 2024, to help cover the medical expenses.

The account aimed to raise $10,000 - approximately GH¢123,600. $5,158 has been raised, with supporters offering contributions to aid in Moesha’s recovery.

Musician Becca made a notable $2,000 donation, as did Professor Benedicta Yayra Fosu-Mensah, a Senior Research Fellow with the Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies at the University of Ghana.

During the interview, Moesha expressed her profound gratitude to her fans, friends, and family for their unconditional support on her road to recovery.

Moesha's brother confirms current health status

YEN.com.gh also previously reported that Moesha Bodoung's brother, Ebito Boduong, shared an update on her health.

In an interview, the model's sibling called on Ghanaians to remember his sister in their prayers due to her situation.

Many people who commented on the video wished Moesha well as she began recovery after suffering a stroke.
