Her father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo, is a renowned inventor and the founder of the Kristo Asafo Church, while her mother is Ewurama Serwaa. She has a brother named Kwadwo Safo Jnr.

She did her GCE A' Level in 1998 and proceeded to the University of Ghana, Legon, to pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. The Ghanaian lawyer graduated in 2002 and, after two years, did her Master of Laws (LLM) degree from George Washington University in the United States. She also obtained a Master of Law (LLM) in Public Procurement Law and Policy in 2020.
