He had his secondary education at Mfantsipim School and completed his studies at Botwe in 1995, but was unable to continue to university at the time due to financial challenges in his family.
Years later, he returned to academia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication from the African University of Communications and Business (AUCB) in 2021.
He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Communications from the same institution in 2022, and in early 2023, he enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws programme at the Wisconsin International University College.

Van Vicker began his media career in 1999 as a radio presenter at Groove 106.3 FM and also worked as a TV host on stations such as TV3 Ghana and Metro TV.
