Early life and education

Nadia Buari, hailing from Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana, was born on November 21, 1982.

Caddy and Alhaji Sidiku Buari, Nadia’s parents, have five children. She is the oldest among them.

Her mother is a professional beautician, and her father is a composer, actor, and businessperson.

She attended Mfantsiman Girls' Secondary School in the Central Region of Ghana.

Upon completion of her college education at the University of Ghana, Legon, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts.

Throughout her time at the University of Ghana, she actively participated in the theatre and drama club.


In 2006, Nadia Buari made her acting debut, appearing in the film Mummy's Daughter, directed by Frank Rajah Arase. The same year, she featured in other films, including Beyonce: The President's Daughter and Darkness of Sorrow.

Her role as Beyonce was her major breakthrough and gained popularity in both Ghana and Nigeria.

She has since starred in many African films, such as Agony of the Christ, The King Is Mine, Single & Married, Rain, Behind the Mask, Secret Burden, Hands of Time, and Deranged.

She also made her directorial debut in 2013 with the film The Diary of Imogen Brown, becoming the first African actress to direct a film.

In addition to her accomplishments in the film industry, Nadia Buari is a thriving entrepreneur. She owns multiple successful businesses such as Resolution Security Company, NSB Investment Limited, and NSB Productions.

She became an ambassador at Tablet India Limited (TIL) in 2013.
