Tesla reported higher global third-quarter auto deliveries on Thursday, joining a broad slate of automakers seeing a surge in electric vehicles ahead of the phaseout of a US tax credit. While the figures did not break down sales by region, automakers saw a jump in US electric vehicle sales due to the September 30 expiration of a tax credit under legislation backed by President Donald Trump.

Berlin said Friday it was reviewing a major warship order that has faced lengthy delays, as reports suggested a German group might take over the project from a Dutch shipbuilder. The contract for the six warships -- set to be the largest vessels in the German fleet -- was awarded years ago to Dutch group Damen Naval, and is reported to be worth over 10 billion euros ($12 billion).

Spain welcomed a record 22.3 million foreign tourists in the key summer holiday months of July and August as the sector heads for another year of unprecedented numbers, data showed on Thursday. The 22.3 million tourists hosted over the two months smashed the previous high mark of 21.8 million in 2024 -- a year that saw a record 94 million foreign visitors flock to Spain.
