Shares in French skincare giant L'Occitane jumped almost 13 percent in Hong Kong on Tuesday as they resumed trading after its owner offered to take it private. The offer, submitted with the support of US private equity giant Blackstone, concerns nearly 28 percent of the shares.

"By quarter, the GDP grew by 4.5 percent year on year in the first quarter and 6.3 percent in the second quarter," NBS spokesman Fu Linghui said.
Russia took control of shares belonging to French agribusiness Danone and brewer Carlsberg, according to a decree published on Sunday. The decree signed by President Vladimir Putin says the Russian state would "temporarily" manage shares belonging to Danone Russia and to Baltika, which is owned by Carlsberg.
